ICAI confers on the Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement “Excellence in Financial Reporting“
Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), has conferred on Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement (SVYM) “Excellence in Financial Reporting” for the year 2014-15. SVYM has been announced as winner of Plaque award by the Jury of ICAI chaired Shri M. Damodaran, Former Chairman, Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) from amongst the entries received under the Category-Not-for-Profit-Sector.
Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement (SVYM) is a development organization, engaged in building human and social capital in India through its grassroots to policy-level action in Health, Education and Community Development sectors. SVYM is rendering its selfless service to the tribal and marginalized community in Karnataka for past 31 years. SVYM is rooted to itscore values of Satya, Ahimsa, Seva and Tyaga, which is reflected in its program design and delivery transactions with its stakeholders along with resource utilization, disclosures and openness to public scrutiny.
ICAIis the second largest accounting body in the whole world. This award is given on the basis of degree of compliance with the Accounting Standards, statutory guidelines and other relevant pronouncements.
The award will be received by Dr. M R Seetharam on behalf of SVYM during ICAI’s award ceremony on 6th February 2016 in Kolkata, West Bengal.
