Palliative care is about caring for the whole person—supporting patients and their families through the physical, emotional, social and psychological challenges that accompany serious illness. At SVYM’s Palliative Care Centre in Mysuru, this spirit of care is strengthened by volunteers, including retired doctors and professionals, young people and members of the community who contribute their time and skills.
There are many ways to be involved. Depending on your interests and experience, you can support medical and nursing care, counselling and emotional support, physiotherapy, patient and family engagement, documentation, awareness activities and other aspects of holistic palliative care.
