    Your donation is safe and secure. SVYM website submits the information over Secure Socket Layer (SSL), and provides a secure channel to exchange information in encrypted mode.

    Personal data collected through our website is encrypted using advanced encryption standard technology. We are committed to protecting donor personal information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

    SVYM’s Donor Policy
    Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement honors the trust of our donors, who have provided us with personal information. Personal information includes the donor’s name, contact information, and donation history.
    SVYM has never and will never sell, trade or exchange a donor’s personal information with anyone else.   When a donor makes a designated gift, SVYM may share that donor’s information with the community partner– unless the donor instructs us not to disclose their information. The information a donor provides to SVYM is used to process donations, issue tax receipts and send thank-you letters, and send email updates on SVYM’s activities. Donors may opt out of these email updates by clicking the “unsubscribe” button at the bottom of each email or by contacting us directly.

    You can donate online through netbanking, credit and debit cards and through BHIM App/UPI on SVYM’s donation page. 
    Can Indian citizens donate through Bank Transfer (RTGS/NEFT)/ cheques/demand drafts, how?

    How will I know if my donation is successful?
    In case of online donation, the receipts are sent at the registered email id, after every successful transaction. For Cheque / DD / cash, the receipts are sent by email and post. 
    I had a failed transaction – what does it mean? Who do I get in touch with?
    A failed transaction could result due to multiple reasons; kindly mail us at [email protected] or call us at +91 9900408284 (9 am to 5:30 pm IST)
    How soon will I get my tax exemption certificate?
    You will get your tax exemption certificate within 5-7 working days from the date of making an online donation. Through courier it takes 10 days to deliver the exemption certificate. If you are contributing offline, it takes 15 to 20 days. 

    As per the Indian IT Department’s rules, in case you wish to receive the 80G tax-exemption certificate, kindly add your PAN number, address and email address correctly.

    Do I get tax exemptions on cash donations as well?
    Yes, tax exemption is applicable to any donation amount. However, donations above Rs. 2000 cannot be made in cash. Donations above Rs. 2000 can be made through Net Banking, Online Donation, Cheque and Demand Draft. 
    What if the Tax receipt is misplaced?
    We will be able to provide you with a duplicate receipt. Please write to us at [email protected]
    I am an NRI. Will I get tax exemption on my donation?
    NRI (Non-Resident Indian) donors, who are Indian citizens, holding an Indian passport are eligible to tax exemption under section 80 G of the Income Tax Act. Don’t forget to mention your Indian PAN Card Number in the online donation form to avail the tax benefits.
    If I am a resident of the U.S. will I be eligible for tax exemption?
    As a resident of the U.S. you can avail of tax exemption by making a donation on https://www.svymna.org/donate, the U.S. chapter of Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement. You may be able to claim a deduction on your federal taxes as SVYM of North America is a registered 501(c)3 organization.

    Our Donation Refund Policy
    Donation Refund Policy 

    Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement has a Donation Refund Policy applicable to certain cases. We take utmost care about processing & utilizing the donations towards the development initiatives supported by the donor. But in case of a strained event of an erroneous deduction or if the donor wants to cancel/deduct the donation, Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement will respond within 7 working days from the date of  the complaint obtained/registered from the donor. The timely refund of the erroneously deducted amount will depend on the type of card used during the transaction. We would require a proof of deduction of the donation amount and a written communication for refund from the donor within two days after donation at this email id – [email protected]

    • In such cases if the receipt already has been issued, then the donor needs to return the original receipt at our registered office address
    • In the case of an 80G tax exemption certificate already issued, refund will not be possible
    • The refund cannot be initiated for the Foreign Contribution (FC) received
