Leadership begins with how one learns to live
Established in 2022 as a vertical of Viveka School of Excellence, VSOE Sainik School is an approved New Sainik School under the Sainik School Society, Ministry of Defence, Government of India. It is the first NGO-run Sainik School in Karnataka.

The Sainik School brings together VSOE's established CBSE academic environment with residential learning, physical development, discipline, leadership, sports, NCC and structured exposure to defence institutions. The larger purpose is not limited to preparing young people for one profession; it is to develop habits and capabilities that help them lead responsibly in many walks of life.

From VSOE to a distinct cadet pathway
Viveka School of Excellence has served rural families in Saragur and H.D. Kote since 2002. In August 2022, the institution received recognition to establish a New Sainik School vertical. The new pathway builds on VSOE's academic foundation while adding residential life, structured routines, physical fitness, leadership, teamwork, national awareness and exposure to the Armed Forces.
Building the human and social capital of young people
Cadet life strengthens capabilities within the individual while also teaching young people how to function as part of a team and a larger purpose. This makes the Sainik School another expression of SVYM's commitment to building the human and social capital of communities.

Cadets at AIISNG
Cadets participated in the All India Sainik School National Games Group H competition in 2025–26.
Athletics achievement
The contingent won eight athletics medals, with one cadet qualifying for the national-level competition.
CBSE National Handball
The institution secured a Bronze medal at the CBSE National-Level Handball Championship.
State NCC Drill
Fifteen cadets represented the institution and secured first place in the State-Level NCC Drill Competition.
NCC Firing
Twelve cadets participated in the NCC Firing Competition, where the institution secured Gold.
Best Cadet awards
Students secured two Best Cadet Awards at the Air Wing NCC camp in Mysuru.
Leadership begins with self-leadership. Drill, sport and NCC give cadets repeated opportunities to prepare, respond to instruction, work under pressure, recover from setbacks and support a team — habits that matter well beyond a parade ground or playing field.
Understanding service through first-hand exposure
Visits and interactions help cadets understand the Armed Forces not as an abstract idea, but through real institutions, people, professional cultures and the responsibilities that accompany service.
During 2025–26, cadets visited the Air Force Station, Belagavi; Maratha Light Infantry Regimental Centre; INS Kadamba, Karwar; and the 16th Battalion of the Madras Regiment.
The school also commemorated Kargil Vijay Diwas with retired IAF veteran Gp. Capt. Dr. Vinay Vittal, who shared frontline experiences from Operation Vijay.

Mysore Sahodaya Debate
Cadets secured Best Rebuttler recognition in both the 'For' and 'Against' categories.
Communication & Debate
A workshop strengthened critical thinking and public speaking; Cadet Pranav Gaikwad received a Best Team Player award.
