A rural school built around possibility
Established in 2002 at Saragur, Viveka School of Excellence is SVYM's CBSE school serving children from rural communities across Saragur and H.D. Kote. The 10-acre campus brings together academics, experiential learning, scientific inquiry, sports, character formation and wider exposure.

VSOE was founded on the belief that where a child lives should not determine the quality of education available to them. Over more than two decades, the school has sought to demonstrate that a rural institution can combine affordability with strong academics, joyful learning, scientific temper, character and aspiration.

From a rural CBSE school to a wider learning ecosystem
VSOE has evolved with the aspirations of rural families. Alongside classroom learning, the school has invested in hands-on science, co-curricular exposure, sports, teacher development and community participation. In 2022, a Sainik School vertical added a distinct residential pathway centred on leadership, discipline and physical development while remaining part of the larger VSOE institution.

Why the institution is relevant beyond its own students
VSOE also functions as a community learning resource. Its Science Exploratory Park and wider educational experience have been used to extend hands-on learning and educational exposure beyond the enrolled student body. This reflects SVYM's larger approach to building the human and social capital of communities rather than treating education only as classroom delivery.

Where questions become experiments
The Science Exploratory Park turns scientific principles into objects that children can touch, move, observe and question — making scientific temper visible in everyday learning.
The open-air park has 72 outdoor exhibits, with an Innovation Centre and Info Tech Park adjoining it. Dedicated to the community in 2014, it was designed not only for VSOE students but also as a shared rural learning resource.
By 2021–22, annual reports recorded more than 27,000 cumulative visitors to the park, demonstrating how an institutional resource can extend learning beyond the school's own enrolled students.

A distinct pathway within the larger VSOE institution
Established in 2022, VSOE Sainik School is an approved New Sainik School under the aegis of the Sainik School Society, Ministry of Defence, Government of India, and is the first NGO-run Sainik School in Karnataka.
The vertical builds on VSOE's academic foundation while adding residential education, physical development, discipline, leadership, sports, communication and structured exposure to defence institutions.
